Bhubaneswar, Nov 5:

Workers of Youth Congress today showed black flags to Union Minister Giriraj Singh near Central Tool Room & Training Centre (CTTC) in Odisha capital.

According to reports, some Youth Congress members led by Lokanath Maharathy waved black flags at Singh when he was leaving CTTC in his car after attending a programme there.

They also tried to intercept the minister’s vehicle but were stopped by policemen, sources said.

“We will protest visit of any Union Minister to Odisha,” said Lokanath Maharathy, Youth Congress President.

Notably, the incident comes a day after Singh blamed “the faulty policies” of Jawaharlal Nehru for people not being skilled in the country. The minister was speaking at the inauguration ceremony of a national conference on “Youth and Employment: The role of skill India Initiative” here yesterday.
