32-year-old Rina Pradhan, who was arrested along with her supporters while trying to set herself on fire in front of the high security Naveen Niwas here on December 11, on Friday said she will go for self-immolation if police fails to nab the killers of her brother before December 30.
Rina was released from jail on Friday after getting a bail from the local court.
Addressing media persons here today, Rina, a resident of Bolagarh under Jatni police limits set a deadline of December 30 for the police to locate and arrest her brother’s killers failing which she will set herself on fire.
She alleged that the police had failed to arrest the accused although they are moving freely.
Her brother Ramakanta Paltasingh (26) was allegedly murdered on September 14 and his body was found near Jatni railway station. She had lodged an FIR in the Government Railway Police (GRP) but it was registered after 17 days of the incident. Reena had to move from pillar to post to nab the culprits involved in the murder of her brother.
Protesting against police inaction she had tried to set herself on fire but was arrested along with 17 other people by Airfield police.
