Rourkela, Dec 9:
In a major breakthrough, Bisra police arrested a wanted Maoist in the wee hours on Monday.
Police later forwarded him to the court that remanded him to judicial custody after rejecting his bail application.
The ultra, identified as Munda alias Ajay (21), was nabbed during a joint combing operation by the Bisra police and their Jharkhand counterparts in the Saranda forest area.
“A native from Jharkhand, Munda was involved in the twin murder of Kandri Lohar, a home guard of Bisra police station and his son in February, 2011.
Besides, he was also involved in the landmine blast at K Balang area earlier”, DSP of Zone-3 Laxmidhar Mohapatra told OST.
