Bhubaneswar, April 10:
Polling began today across 10 Lok Sabha and 70 assembly constituencies in Southern and western Odisha amid tight security.
Over 13 million voters will take part in the balloting exercise to decide the fate of 673 candidates including heavyweights like chief minister Naveen Patnaik, two former chief ministers Giridhar Gamang and Hemananda Biswal, nine ministers and former Union ministers Jual Oram and Chandrasekhar Sahu in the first phase of polling.
There are a total of 2,88,80,850 voters in the state. Polling for the rest 11 Lok Sabha and 77 assembly seats would be held in the second phase On April 17.
