A five-wicket haul by Debaprasad Singha powered Tripura to a thumping 123-run win against Odisha in the U-19 Vinoo Mankad Trophy East Zone League Tournament at Ranchi today.
Winning the toss, Tripura scored 257 in the allotted 50 overs. The highlights of Tripura innings was two fine half centuries by Dipayan Deb Burma (75) and Randeep Patel (61).
For Odisha, Suman Mohanty and Subham Nayak claimed three and two wickets respectively while Rajkishen Patel and Ashok Barik claimed one wicket each.
In reply, Odisha began on a disastrous note. Barring Rajesh Dhuper (39), Debendra Kuanr (41) and Debabrata Pradhan (26 not out), the rest batsmen went out cheaply as the team folded up for 134 in 42.3 overs.
Apart from Siingha who claimed five wickets, Tapash Mandal took three wickets while Subham Ghose and Suvam Das bagged one wicket each.
