Odisha Vigilance department sleuths today conducted simultaneous raids at the office and residences of deputy secretary of the Khadi and Village Industries Board Triyogi Narayan Das for having assets disproportionate to his known sources of income.
Acting on the search warrants, the department officials raided his residential building at Biswanath Nagar and Lingipur, besides his office room at Kharavel Nagar here.
The total worth of movable and immovable assets so far detected during the raid has been put at at Rs 52,17,548. The assets include one motor cycle, costly household articles, gold ornaments weighing 312 grams, silver ornaments weighing 443 grams, deposits in different banks, LIC, Bajaj Alianz, Sahara India, hard cash and two double storied buildings at Biswanath Nagar and Lingipur.
All assets were found possessed in the name of Das and in the name of his family members, the officials sources said.
