Vigilance officers today conducted simultaneous raids at ten places in Odisha including Athgarh Divisional Forest Officer Sudhansu Mishra’s residence, on charges of accumulating wealth disproportionate to his known sources of income.
The vigilance sleuths simultaneously raided various houses and apartments in Bhubaneswar, Bolangir, Cuttack, Bhawanipatna, Sambalpur, Berhampur, Sonepur and Puri.
The vigilance officers have found property worth more than Rs 5 crores, and seized a whopping Rs 93 lakh in cash, 500 grams of gold and some incriminating documents from Sudhansu Mishra’s Cuttack residence, vigilance sources have revealed.
The police are interrogating the Athgarh DFO about the sources of his wealth.
Vigilance sources have also said that Athagarh DFO Sudhansu Mishra might be arrested. They are also looking into the suspected links of Mishra with the Dhalasamanta brothers, according to reports.
