Varanasi-based Odia body offers help to Odisha students, pilgrims

Varanaseya Utkal Samaj (VUS), an organisation for ‘nurturing, preserving and propagating Odia culture’ in Varanasi, has decided to provide all facilities to students- seeking counselling and admission in various universities- as well pilgrims from Odisha who visit the holy city.

Varanasi-The-oldest-city-of-India“During the time of admission, most of the students come with their parents for admission in various universities in the city and find difficult in getting accommodation. So, we have decided to provide accommodation to them during the counselling in Banaras Hindu University (BHU). The counselling will start in last week of July,” said Amiya Kumar Samal, general secretary of VUS.

With large number of tourists and pilgrims from Odisha visiting the holy city every year, the VUS has launced a help desk for them.
