Bhubaneswar, Oct 10:
After Union Home minister spoke with Odisha chief minister assuring him to provide all help to meet the challenge of cyclonic storm Hudhud, Union Petroleum minister Dharmendra Pradhan today repeated the same promise.
Pradhan’s assurance followed a review meeting he had with the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) and Indian Meteorology Department (IMD) officials here today.
He also apprised Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home minister Rajnath Singh and Defence minister Arun Jaitley of the latest situation with regard to the impending disaster, said a PIB press release.
Stating that Prime Minister is keeping a close eye on the cyclone situation in Andhra Pradhesn and Odisha, the Union minister said the Defence minister has also assured the state government that all help including helicopters for rescue operation and disbursement of relief materials in the cyclone affected districts.
The Petroleum minister, who also reviewed the supply of petrol, diesel, kerosene and cooking gas in the districts likely to be affected, said his ministry would provide petroleum products in the cyclone affected districts.
