Sundargarh, Mar 31:
Police recovered body of a 25 year old youth from a river in Sundargarh district of Odisha on Tuesday afternoon.
The body, which is yet to be identified, has been sent to the morgue in Sundargarh. Sundaragarh police have registered a case of unnatural death and started investigation into the case.
Sources said, on Tuesday afternoon, Bhasma police station of Sundargarh received information from some locals that body of a youth was lying in a river under the Safei bridge under Bhasma police station. A police team led by Bhasma police station IIC Sanatan Mahanand went to the spot and found the body of the youth partially inside the water. .
There were no injury marks on the body of the youth, who was wearing a red colour T Shirtand a half pant. The body was lying face downwards. Police retrived the body from the river and asked locals to identify him. But no one could identify him, police sources said.
“We are trying to identify him, We have registered a unnatural death case and are now investigating the case,” said Sanatan Mahanand, IIC, Bhasma police station, Sundargarh.
The body will be kept in the morgue for the next 72 hours for identification after which the post moretm will be conducted, police sources said,
