Bolangir, June 30:
The urban local bodies (ULBs) of two western Odisha towns – Balangir and Titlagarh – are going to polls on Tuesday.
While polling officials arrived at their respective destinations today, citizens will cast their votes at 71 booths in 21- ward Balangir Municipality and at 27 booths of 15-ward Titlagarh NAC.
50 polling booths of Balangir Municipality have been identified as sensitive 14 declared as hyper-sensitive. All the polling booths in Titlagarh have been declared as sensitive.
Security has been tightened in the both the towns.
While 14 platoons of policemen have been deployed in Titlagarh, which was witness to large scale violence following the alleged custodial death of a youth on Saturday, one platoon of policemen have been deployed in Balangir.
