The CBI today conducted raids in 29 places across the country including Odisha in connection with the Rs 25 crore fraud in the Rourkela branch of the United Bank of India (UBI).
The central investigative agency raided 17 places in Odisha, 10 in West Bengal and two in Maharashtra in connection with the fraud, revealed sources in the CBI.
Sources said the CBI has also raided residences of some bank officers.
Notably, CBI took up the investigation in the matter following report of fraud at the Rourkela branch of the UBI.
