Police have arrested two pimps and four sex workers for allegedly looting a youth in Odisha capital on Sunday in Master Canteen area.
At around 12 am, Narayan Pallai, a native of Balasore district, was on his way to the railway station to board a train to his hometown after having dinner at a nearby eatery. However, four women allegedly took him to a secluded place near the railway station and looted him. The victim added that two men also helped them and snatched Rs 1, 250 from him.
After Pallai filed a written complaint with the Kharavel Nagar police station, they arrested the four alleged sex workers and two pimps.
The accused men have been identified as A K Raja, a resident of Midnapore in West Bengal and Gautam Mali from Bhubaneswar. The four women hail from various parts of Odisha.
It may be mentioned that former Twin City police commissioner Rajendra Prasad Sharma had cracked down on sex workers and eunuchs’ streetwalking in the Master Canteen area during late hours.
