Two businessmen nabbed for fraud in Odisha corp

Bhubaneswar, Feb 24:

The Economic Offences Wing (EOW) of the Odisha Crime Branch today arrested two persons on charges misappropriating funds to the tune of about Rs 55 lakhs from a government corporation with the help of fake documents.

The arrested have been identified as Kailash Chandra Prdhan and Pradeep Kumar Sahu, owners of a business firm.

The EOW had earlier arrested Rabindra Nath Jena of Bional village under Jagatsinghpur police station limits, posted as officer in charge in Odisha Pisciculture Development Corporation (OPDC) at its Chhatrapur filling station.

The accused has allegedly misappropriated the amount by falsely showing the said amount as credit sales against different customer including government offices. The money was transferred to the bank account of both Pradhan and Sahu, EOW sources said.
