Two injured in poll violence in Mahanga

Mahanga, Apr 14:
At least two persons were injured following violence during election campaign in Mahanga in Odisha’s Cuttack district today, reports said.
According to reports, the incident took place when the supporters of BJD candidate and sitting MLA from Mahanga assembly constituency Pratap Jena clashed with the supporters of Sarada Pradhan, an independent candidate from the same constituency, at Sorol village.
Eyewitness accounts said they had heard gun shots being fired by the clashing groups.
While one person has been arrested, two bikes were damaged in the clash.
A case has been registered at Mahanga police station in this connection, reports said.
