The commissionerate police today arrested two persons from the city in connection with the murder of builder Krushna Nayak in IRC village here on August 12. The duo has been forwarded to the court, police said.
The two arrested from Nayapalli here today have been identified as Suraj Sharma alias Nepu and Salil Pattnaik alias Tarini. Two pistols and one bike have been seized from the accused, police said.
“Two persons involved in the killing of builder Krushna Chandra Nayak have been arrested today. Interrogation of the two has revealed that the killing of Nayak was the fall-out of a dispute over a land deal. We are trying to ascertain if some other people were also involved in the attack,” DCP Nitinjit Singh said,
On August 13, police had detained two men for their alleged involvement in the case.
Krushna Chandra Nayak, the Managing Director of Kalinga Putra Builders, was shot dead by three unidentified assailants in IRC village here on August 12.
