A five-day training programme on “Developing Managerial Competency” for officials of the Odisha Tourism department was inaugurated at XIMB here today.
Inaugurating the training programme, Tourism and Culture minister Ashok Panda emphasized on capacity building and competency of tourism officials.
He also laid emphasis on regular training programmes for upgradation of the skills of the employees and officers of the department.
In their address, commissioner-cum-secretary, Tourism and Culture, Arabinda Padhee and director, Tourism Manoranjan Patnaik spoke about the importance and need for such training programmes in creating a healthy, conducive and workable environment and requested the officials to use the opportunity of this training conducted by XIMB to the full.
Among others, director XIMB, additional secretary, Tourism, Prof Andrew Dutta and Prof FM Sahoo were present on the occasion.
