Bhubaneswar, June 14:
Three persons from Odisha’s Ganjam district were arrested by the CBI and taken on remand after producing them in a court here, in connection with the LTC scam in which some defence personnel at Port Blair had allegedly claimed travel reimbursement through purportedly forged bills.
These three persons have been identified as Dilip Behera and Pankaj Behera, brothers of a man working with the Indian Navy at Port Blair and Dipak Padhee, owner of a printing press based in Brahmapur.
Dilip and Pankaj run a travel agency in Brahmapur. The fake bills were allegedly printed at the printing press owned by Padhee.
Sources said the trio will be produced in a local court in Port Blair.
During their raid three days ago at a printing press in Brahmapur, the CBI officials had seized fake bills allegedly used by some defence personnel for the reimbursement of their LTC claims, computer hard discs and master printing plates.
