Three missing as boat capsizes in Odisha’s Paradip coast

Paradip, Jun 29:

Three persons went missing in the Bay of Bengal along Odisha’s Paradip coast after the fishing boat in which they were travelling capsized today. The boat drowned when it was on its way to the coast after a fishing expedition.

The missing persons have been identified as Kailash Parida, Madhabananda Mahanta and Srikanta Majhi. They are said to be from Bhadrak district.

Four others on board the ill-fated boat – Srikshetra 5 – managed to swim back to the shore. They have been identified as Surendra Majhi, Chandrakant Majhi, Manas Majhi and Ashok Parida.

Meanwhile, Marine police have pressed a rescue team into service to locate the missing fishermen.
