Bargarh, July 24:

Firemen on Wednesday recovered bodies of three persons including that of a woman from a car that was swept away by flooding waters of river Uttali on Monday near Barpali in Odisha’s Bargarh district.

The deceased identified as Anadi Kuanr of Barpalli, Malay Mahalik and Basanti Behera of Kusurda met their watery grave as the car in which they were travelling was swept away near a bridge on Monday due to a sudden surge of water in the flooding river.

The ill-fated car was spotted by the local people after the water level receded on Wednesday. They then alerted the police and the fire brigade department, who managed to fish out the bodies.
