Three arrested for stabbing Odisha jail superintendent

Odisha police today claimed to have cracked the murderous assault on Superintendent of Sambalpur Circle Jail on Wednesday while he was returning from jail.
According to reports, Dhanupalli police arrested three persons for their alleged complicity in the stabbing case.
While two suspects are from Modipada area, one hails from Hirakud, sources said.
It may be mentioned here that the jail Superintendent Brahmananda Sahu was attacked by unidentified miscreants on Wednesday evening while he was returning home after conducting a surprise raid.
The murderous attack on the jail official was carried out on the instructions of two prison inmates, sources added.
Sahu was rushed to Sadar Hospital and later shifted to VIMSAR, Burla as his condition worsened.
