Puri: Amidst celebration is in the air uniting youngsters on Friendship Day today, a group of divyang friends in Odisha has proved that nothing more is required than a pure heart that is enough to build a strong friendship with someone.
The Android smartphone is the device through which the divyang youths, who even cannot speak or hear, communicate with their friends near or far off the place they stay in Puri.
The pure bonding like friendship is truly defined by around eight to ten divyang young people, who are spotted in front of a tea stall located at Balagandi Chhak in pilgrim town Puri of Odisha enjoying with their friends.
Even though, they are unable to speak or listen, but they crack jokes with signs and make funs.
Their bonding is so close that the divyang youths cannot live without beholding their friends on a single day. Even in rain or scorching summer, they assemble in front of the tea stall, if someone will not be present, they make video calls. They remain in touch with each other on WhatsApp and Facebook even after running off their ‘Khatti’ (hangout place).
According to reports, more than a hundred of divyangs are staying in Puri. They all are enrolled into the courses in a single institute. However, the friendship among these ten people distinguishes themselves from others.
“We used to take care of each other. We make video calls, chatting, messaging on smartphone. The person, who understands our feelings, is welcome to our group,” said a 21-year-old divyang Krushna Chandra Mohapatra.
The Android phone has made everything easier to communicate and hang out with friends. We can share our feelings, ideas through video calling and WhatsApp and laugh together, another divyang in the group Hrushikesh Sahoo said.
On the occasion of Friendship Day, such positive story could give people a chance to believe in friendship and celebrate it on each day with whole heartedly.
