Prince of erstwhile Nilagiri in Balasore district of Odisha, Janmejay Mardaraj Harichandan (29) alias J, son of Raja Saheb Jayant Chandra Mardaraj Harichandan, on Sunday tied the nuptial knot with princess Harsita, a journalist by profession and daughter of King Ghanshyam and Queen Sabitri Devi of Satna at Kothi in Madhya Pradesh.
The newly-wed royal couple is scheduled to arrive at Nilagiri palace on Tuesday.
The wedding ceremony was attended by Gajapati Maharaja of Puri Sri Divya Singh Deb, king of Dhenkanal and former Union Minister Kamakhya Prasad Singh Deo, Maharaja of Chhattisgarh Kamal Chandra Bhanj Deo, Aul king Brajakishore Deo, King of Badamba Tribikram Chandra Deo including other dignitaries.
The Nilagiri palace will be playing host to royal guests from across the country for the wedding reception party on January 25, informed a source close to the development.
Notably, the tilak ceremony held last year on December 10 was as big as one would expect it to be. It was solemnised following all royal tradition and rituals in presence of number of kings and royal families of Odisha and outside.
