Vigilance department officials today arrested the tehsildar of Shyamakhunta tehsil in Odisha’s Mayurbhanj district in graft case.
The arrested tehsildar Sabita Sahu was caught red handed while accepting a bribe of Rs 10,000 for awarding a license to a person for a brick kiln in his area.
“We caught the tehsildar red-handed and seized the chemical coated cash, provided by us to the person, from her vanity bag. After the hand wash, it was confirmed that she had accepted the bribe”, said the Vigilance DSP of Baripada division..
