Sarthak production’s ‘Mu Eka Tumara’ starring Sabyasachi and Archita bagged four top awards at the first Vivel Filmfare awards (East) in the Odia film category for the year 2013.
While the lead pair Sabyasachi Mishra and Archita Sahu walked away with the ‘Best Actor’ and ‘Best Actress’ honours respectively, ‘Mu Eka Tumara’ was adjudged the ‘Best Film’.
The director of the film Susant Mani was awarded the trophy for Best Director.
The list of nominations for the best Odia film 2013 included Hata Dhari Chalutha, . Mo Duniya Tu Hi Tu,Mu Eka Tumara and Paribeni Kehi Alaga Kari.
Among those nominated for the Best Director award were Chandi Parija for ‘Hata Dhari Chalutha’ ,Jyotee Dash for ‘Ashok Samrat’, Sudhakar Vasant for ‘Mo Duniya Tu Hi Tu’, Sudhanshu Sahu for ‘Paribeni Kehi Alaga Kari’ and Susant Mani for ‘Mu Eka Tumara’.
Nomination list for the Best Actress award included Archita Sahu (Mu Eka Tumara), Barsha (Mo Duniya Tu Hi Tu and Hata Dhari Chalutha), Priya ( Paribeni Kehi Alaga Kari) while those who featured in the nominations for the Best Actor award were Anubhav Mohanty (Mo Duniya Tu Hi Tu and Hata Dhari Chalutha ), Arindam Roy ( Ashok Samrat), Sabyasachi Mishra (Mu Eka Tumara) and Siddhanta Mahapatra( Hari Om Hari).
Well known filmmaker Sabyasachi Mohapatra was the honoured guest of the glittering award ceremony.
Filmfare awards for the East Zone were instituted for the first time this year.
