Mumbai, July 7
Bollywood ‘Baby Doll’ Sunny Leone-starrer song “Pink lips” is turning out to be a chartbuster, and her fluid moves in the number have already managed to attract over one million views for the video on YouTube.
The song’s video was uploaded on the online platform July 2. It features Sunny grooving to the beats of the song, composed by Meet Brothers and choreographed by Uma-Gaiti.
The choreographers were under pressure to deliver something bigger and better than “Baby doll”, and made sure Sunny gave her best shot to the new song, which is a promotional track for the movie “Hate story 2”. But they’re excited with the response.
“It’s been an absolute pleasure to put ‘Pink lips’ together. We choreographed ‘Baby doll’ with Sunny, so with ‘Pink lips’, the process got easier. We had a better tuning this time. ‘Pink lips’ was a huge challenge as it was being pitted against ‘Baby doll’,” the duo said in a statement.
Post filming sexual abuse, Surveen suffered nervous breakdown
The trailers of “Hate Story 2” are being talked about for the bold scenes involving actress Surveen Chawla. But the actress says shooting for one sequence involving sexual violation left her suffering from a temporary nervous breakdown.
“I was completely into my character and when I had to perform a violent abusive sexual scene with Sushant Singh, I was feeling as though the experience was actually happening to me. I began to relate to women who go through sexual abuse and the trauma it causes,” Surveen said in a statement.
“I felt the pain, agony and the helplessness of a woman subjected to sexual subjugation. I was weeping from inside and outside while performing these scenes. These scenes were very demanding,” she added.
Surveen took a while to come out of her character, but she now truly believes that “if a woman has to endure this treatment from a man, she is better off alone.”
Akshay lip-syncs to woman’s voice
If men dressing in woman’s garb wasn’t a trend enough already in Bollywood, here’s Akshay Kumar trying out something new – he lip-syncs to a female voice for the song “Johnny Johnny” for “It’s Entertainment”.
The song is the first to be released from the album of the forthcoming film “It’s Entertainment”, which marks the directorial debut of writers Farhad-Sajid.
The track, based on a very popular nursery rhyme, has Akshay lip-synching to a female’s voice in a fun avatar. He will be seen singing some hilarious lines like “Maine pe nahiii” and “Haanji main peela di gayi”.
The lines are extremely catchy and the grooving music has taken the song to a different level.
On the decision to make playback singer Priya sing for Akshay, the director duo said: “Our song is light-hearted, in high spirits and everyone is in a party mood. In a small subtle way, we are showing our support for women empowerment…the lines are matching very well with Akshay’s attire and the mood of the song.”
“It’s Entertainment” will hit the screens Aug 8.
