Children in the 5-17 age group participated in the camp that began on May 4.
The children were taught the art of making terracotta, paper masks, wall hanging, glass painting, pattachitra, sand art, painting on canvas, calligraphy, vase painting and pottery by master teachers like Madhumita Barik, Mousumi Mishra, Ramesh Chandra Muduli, Manas Das and Shatrughna Meher.
The workshop had provided the necessary kit and materials to the budding artists.
“Workshop of this kind generates among children a great interest in the art, culture and traditions of Odisha and offers them an opportunity to showcase their innate creativity”, said well-known artist and founder of the Gallery Tarakanta Parida.
On the concluding day, vice president of Odisha Lalit Kala Academy DN Rao gave away certificates to the children and had a word of praise for creations of the child artists on display at the workshop.
