Odisha’s internationally renowned sand sculptor Sudarsan Pattnaik’s creation, Taj Mahal with a message “Incredible India” at the ongoing 67th Cannes Film Festival in France has been a huge hit, sources informed OST.
The six-feet tall image of the Taj Mahal, sculpted out of five tonnes of sand, by Pattnaik and his disciple Bulu Mohanty has drawn wide appreciation from the glitterati that has thronged the Mecca of world cinema.
Among those who were amazed by Patnaik’s masterly work includes famous actor-director Kamal Hasaan and producer-director Ramesh Sippy, sources said.
The incredibly beautiful sand Taj Mahal as well as the bust of the great master of Indian cinema Satyajit Ray, the other Sudarsan creation on the Cannes beach has attracted eyeballs in plenty, sources added.
