Bhubaneswar, Dec 27:
Internationally acclaimed sand artist Sudarsan Patnaik entered his name in the Limca Book of Records for creating the world’s biggest sand Jesus at the Puri sea beach on Christmas Eve. The announcement was made by the Indian equivalent of the Guinness Book of Records on Friday.
The sand sculpture, with a height of 35 feet and a width of 75 feet was built with about 1000 tonnes of sand.
Assisted by his 25 disciples of the Sudarsan Sand Art Institute of Puri, it took three days for Sudarsan to build the mammoth sculpture that would be on display till New Year’s Day.
