Stones pelted at ex CJI’s house in Odisha’s Cuttack

In yet another unsavoury incident, unidentified miscreants pelted stones at the house former Supreme Court Chief Justice Gopal Ballav Patnaik at the CDA Sector-II on Monday afternoon.

broken window glassAs per a complaint lodged by Anjan Patnaik, son of the former Supreme Court Chief Justice, with the CDA Phase-II police station, the incident took place between 3 PM-3.30 PM when he and his servant were present.

“Some miscreants pelted stones at our newly constructed house and broke the window glasses. Following the sound, I came out of the house and found pieces of bricks lying under the glass window. But there was no sign of any person around the area”, Patnaik told the media.

Acting on the complaint, police have begun investigation into the incident.

It may be mentioned that a gang of robbers had looted the house of Justice PK Mohanty, former Odisha High Court Judge in the CDA Sector-II area on May 30 this year and a week later, a gang of burglars looted the house of a senior lawyer of the Odisha High Court Ajay Mohanty on June 7 in the same locality.
