State cricket teams for different tournaments announced

The Odisha Cricket Association (OCA) on Wednesday announced the state cricket teams for different tournaments conducted by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI).

The 17-member state team for the Ranji Trophy match against Karnataka to be played at the DRIEMS ground at Tangi from Thursday will have Natraj Behera, Girija Rout, Govind Poddar, Biplab Samantray (Captain), Niranjan Behera, Abhilash Mallick, Haladhar Das (WK), Basant Mohanty (vice captain), Deepak Behera, Alok Mangaraj, Dhiraj Singh, Subhrajit Sahu (WK), Santosh Jena, Arvind Singh, Bikash Pati, Alok Chandra Sahoo and Suryakanta Pradhan.

The Association also announced the 19-member Odisha-A team in the Under-25 category for its match against Karnataka-A at the Gandhi Stadium at Balangir beginning from November 26.

The team, to be led by captain Sandip Mulia, has Sanjib Barik, Sheshdeep Patra, Anurag Sarangi, Sujit Lenka (WK), Ankit Yadav, Bibhudatta Panda, Asmit Rout, Lagnajit Samal, Manas Muduli, Soumendra Das, Rishikesh Das, Anil Buda, Walter Toppo, P Roshan Kumar, Pardeshi Nishad, Suman Mishra, Agniv Sarkar and Subhranshu Samal.

Subhrajyoti Mishra, Pratik Tripathy, Subhransu Senapati, Ashok Barik, Ranjit Singh (Captain), Priyatosh Paramanik, Suvendu Samal (WK-Vice Captain), Sidhartha Sinha, Debabrata Pradhan, Hari Shankar Pati, Raj Kishan Patel, Mohd.Hasim, Debapriya Patnaik, Asutosh Das, Rajesh Dhuper (WK) and Kaushik Das have been selected in the 16-member Under-19 team, which would play against Delhi at Delhi on December 1,

In the Under-16 category, a 17-member team has been announced. The team would play against Jharkhand at Bokaro beginning from December 1.

The team, to be led by Subham Nayak (Captain), has Sandeep Patnaik (Vice Captain), Swapnil, Satyajit Sabat, Raghunath Malla, Subrat Samal (WK), Biswajit Bhuyan (WK), Kartik Biswal, Dibyajyoti Pradhan, Nikhil Barun, Krishna Choudhury, Parta Sarathy Nayak, Sushil Barik, Umesh Yadav, Harshit Rathod, Rakesh Pradhan and Abhishek Giri, an OCA release said.
