Bhubaneswar: Puri Shankaracharya Swami Nischalananda Saraswati has invited Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik and other important stakeholders for a meeting on Srimanidr reforms on February 17.
Informing this, Govardhan mutt spokesperson Manoj Ratha today said ahead of Supreme Court-appointed Amicus Curiae Ranjit Kumar’s two-day scheduled visit to Puri this month, the Puri seer has invited CM Naveen Patnaik, Chief Justice of Orissa High Court Justice Kalpesh Satyendra Jhaveri, Law Minister Pratap Jena, Puri Gajapati Dibyasingha Deb, Shree Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA) Chief PK Mohapatra, Orissa HC Bar Association President Srikant Nayak for a meeting on February 17 to discuss on various reform proposals for the centuries-old shrine.
Senior servitors of the temple will also be a part of the meeting, he added.
Worth mentioning, Amicus Curiae will visit Puri for two days starting February 22. During the visit, the senior lawyer will hold discussion with SJTA officials, Puri Gajapati and servitors on implementation of the reform proposals suggested by the apex court. He will later submit a report in this regard to the Supreme Court.
