Cuttack, Nov 28:

A four member team of the Board of Control for Cricket in India’s (BCCI) technical committee paid a visit to Barabati Stadium in Odisha’s Cuttack on Sunday ahead of the second One-Day International match between India and England scheduled to be held here on January 19, 2017.

A technical official from Germany associated with the BCCI was in the team. The team informed about installation of spidercam at Barabati during the match after reviewing the ground, audience gallery and broadcast infrastructure.

An employee of the official broadcaster Star Sports was also present with the team.

Worth mentioning, this will be the first time a spidercam, which enables film and television cameras to move both vertically and horizontally over a predetermined area, will be used during an international match at the venue.

Notably, it is the first international cricket match going to be held at Barabati after the India-South Africa T20 match in October, 2015 which became infamous for water bottle hurling by angry spectators.
