Speaker refuses adjournment on CMC relief loot

OST Bureau

Bhubaneswar, Feb 5:
pradip amatSpeaker Pradip Amat today rejected Opposition Congress’s demand for an adjournment motion made during Zero Hour on the issue of loot of relief materials by CMC corporators after cyclone Phailin struck the state in October last year.
Rejecting the demand, Speaker Amat said an adjournment motion could not be allowed on it since the incident was not a recent one.
Expressing concern over the rejection of the adjournment motion on the issue, Congress members demanded tabling of the RDC inquiry report in the House, to which BJD members said the issue was being raked up to influence the CMC elections.
