Bhubaneswar: The Air Intelligence Unit of Customs Department has seized 340 grams of gold from two passengers at the Biju Patnaik International Airport (BPIA) in Odisha capital.

The seized cylindrical gold bars, worth Rs 10.56 lakh, were being smuggled to Chennai from Kuala Lumpur, reports said.

Search of their personal baggage led to recovery of the yellow metal concealed inside trolley wheels.

The two passengers of Indian origin, who arrived at the airport from Kuala Lumpur, have been detained by officials for questioning.
