SJTA announces cash incentives for three Darusthals

The Shri Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA) today announced cash incentives for three places in Odisha’s Jagatsinghpur district where the daru of Lord Jagannath, Lord Balabhadra and Devi Subhadra were identified for Nabakalebara this year.

As per the announcement, the Raghunathpur Jagannath Mandira Parichalana Committee, Adhangagada Nilakantheswara Mandira Committee, Jhankada Sarala Mandira Parichalana Committee would receive Rs 5 lakh each as cash incentive.

It may be recalled that the daru for Lord Balabhadra was identified near the temple of Goddess Sarala at Jhankada on April 17, followed by Goddess Subhadra at the Nilakantheswar temple in Adhangagada under Biridi block on April 23 and the daru of Lord Jagannath at Kharipadia under Raghunathpur block on April 29.

Earlier, the daru for Lord Sudarshan was identified at Gadakuntunia village under Balianta block in Khordha district on April 12.
