Bhubaneswar, Mar 2:
Odisha government will establish six skill development centres in Odisha,as per a notification of skill development and technical education department .
In the first phase, four temporary campuses will be in set up in Bondamunda ITI in Bhubaneswar, Jharsuguda Engineering School (JES) in Jharsuguda, Rourkela ITI and Bolangir ITI. These centres will operate under Odisha Skill Development Project.
The centres will function as self sufficient institutes for students in their region in the same way as ITIs and Polytechnics.
The skill development centres will be financed jointly by State government as well as Asian Development Bank’s (ADB) .
The director of employment and employment mission, Odisha, G.Rajesh, will be the chief executive of the project, according to sources.
