Bhubaneswar: The annual fair for handicrafts and rural products Sisir Saras is all set to begin from January 4 next year here in the city.
The Sisir Saras-2019 will showcase the handicrafts, handlooms, household articles and rural products of 24 States at the Exhibition Ground.
The 11-day event will be organised by the Odisha Rural development and Marketing Society under Panchayati Raj & Drinking Water Department in association with Odisha Khadi & Village Industries Board, Directorate of Handicrafts & Cottage Industries and Mission Shakti. It will conclude on January 14.
The fair aims to provide a platform to rural producers and craftsmen to market their products, informed Panchayatiraj Minister Pradeep Maharathy yesterday.
As many as 302 stalls will be set up featuring various handicrafts and forest products at 21st edition of annual Sisir Saras-2019. The craftsmen from all 30 districts of Odisha and self-help groups and artisans from the States including Tamil Nadu, Uttar Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Gujarat will participate at the event.
