Besides, a case was registered on the basis of a complaint filed by Jena at the Capital police station against Pradhan and Pandey yesterday for maligning his reputation.

The controversial video will be sent for forensic test, informed Twin City Police Commissioner YB Khurania.

Earlier in the day, the BMC Mayor filed a Rs 1 crore defamation suit and criminal case against Pradhan and Pandey in SDJM court here.

Jena also urged the court to impose a ban on the broadcasting of the video.

Worth mentioning, Pradhan had yesterday demanded Jena’s resignation at a press conference here claiming that the video features Jena in a sexual act with a woman. He further alleged Jena’s involvement in the murder of Rishi, student of a Bhubaneswar-based private engineering college.

However, Jena has dismissed the allegations saying that these are baseless and concocted.
