Dhenkanal, Sept 10:

There has been no trace yet of seven people of two families of Dhenkanal town in Odisha who had gone on a trip to Srinagar before the horrific floods hit Jammu & Kashmir.

According to reports, three family members of a well-known garment trader at the Gandhi Mandir Road area of the town—Madhu Jawar (32), his wife Iswari (28) and their 8-year-old son Gourav along with Dipak Agrawal (32), his wife Pinky (30) and their two children had gone to Jammu and Kashmir on a tour last week.

According to family sources, the two families were staying at a hotel in Srinagar.

“I had talked to Madhu Jawar on the night on September 3. Since then his mobile phone has remained switched off”, said a panicked Sushil Kumar Jawar, Madhu’s close relative.

“With the devastating flood wreaking havoc in Jammu and Kashmir, we are having sleepless nights as we have no information on the whereabouts of our members there since September 3”, Jawar’s family members said.
