Puri, Jan 24:
At least seven persons including two women of Badadiandi and Kanhalpada villages under Brahmagiri Forest range in Odisha’s Puri district were grievously hurt in wild boar attack today.
The injured were first admitted to the Community Health Centre at Rebana Nuagaon but were later shifted to the district headquarters hospital here after their condition deteriorated.
The condition of three of the injured is stated to be critical, hospital sources said.
The villagers were attacked by the wild boar while they were working in their fields in the afternoon today, local villagers said.
Following the incident two teams of the Forest department are making all out efforts to ensnare the wild animal.
However, their efforts are yet to yield results as the wild boar is no where to be seen, local villagers said.
