With an aim to provide comfortable journey to the commuters and to avoid rush in different regular trains between Howrah and Chennai and Secunderabad and Guwahati, Railways have decided to extend the services of Howrah-Chennai Premium weekly Super Fast Special train till the last week of June 2014 and to run a weekly special express train on last week of May and first week of June between Secunderabad and Guwahati.
The 02841 Howrah-Chennai Premium Special train, leaving Howrah on every Friday at 1315 hours, will run up to June 27 from Howrah to Chennai.
In the return direction, 02842 Chennai-Howrah weekly Premium special leaving Chennai at 1720 hours on every Saturday will run up to June 28 from Chennai to Howrah.
The composition, timings and nominated stoppages for Howrah-Chennai-Howrah Premium Special Train will remain unchanged.
07249 Secunderabad-Guwahati Special train will leave Secunderabad at 0730 hours on May 27 and June 6 (Fridays) and arrive at Guwahati at 0755 hours on the following Sundays.
In the return direction, 07250 Guwahati-Secunderabad special train will leave Guwahati at 0600 hours on June 2 and 9 and arrive at Secunderabad at 1000 hours on the following Wednesdays.
This train, having stoppages at Duvvada, Visakhapatnam, Vizianagaram, Palasa, Brahmapur, Khurda Road, Bhubaneswar, Cuttack and Bhadrak in ECoR jurisdiction between Secunderabad and Guwahati, will have one composite coach of both 1st AC and AC-2 tier, one AC-2 tier, five sleeper class, three second class chair car, four general second class coaches and two guard-cum-luggage vans in its composition, a release by the East Coast Railway (ECoR) said today.
