Senior IAS officer of Odisha cadre and additional chief secretary Injeti Srinivas will go on a Central deputation, sources in the Home department said.
According to sources, Srinivas, who is currently the development commissioner of Odisha, has been appointed the chairman of the National Pharmaceutical Pricing Authority (NPPA).
The 1983 batch IAS officer would replace Tamil Nadu cadre IAS officer CP Singh as the chairman NPPA.
The post of NPPA chairman, which is equivalent to the rank of additional secretary functions under the Pharmaceutical department in the Union ministry of Chemical and Fertilizers.
Srinivas, who played a stellar role in organising the Delhi Commonwealth Games, is regarded one of the finest and most dynamic officers in the country.
