Bhubaneswar, Feb 11:
Security has been beefed up in the state capital here for the arrival of Gujarat chief minister and BJP prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi today.
Senior police officials of Gujarat along with senior officials of the Commissionerate Police have taken stock of the security measures at the Baramunda ground here where Modi would address Vijay Sankalp Samavesh.
Meanwhile, the BJP state unit has urged the Commissionerate police to stop vehicular movement on National Highway 5 in the city from 11 am till afternoon to avoid traffic jam.
Modi is scheduled to arrive at the Biju Patnaik Airport at 12.45 pm from where he would head towards the Baramunda ground at about 1 pm to address the rally.
After the public meeting, he will leave the city at 2.30 pm.
Sources in the BJP said that about 1.5 lakh people are likely to attend the rally.
