The second Odisha Teachers Eligibility Test (OTET) will be held on December 7, according to a notification issued by the Board of Secondary Education (BSE) today.
A total of 93,952 candidates will appear for the test at in 207 centres across the state.
“The test will be held in two sittings. The first sitting will be held from 10 AM to 12.30 PM and the second sitting will be held from 2 PM to 4.30 PM. Of the 93,952 candidates, 50,634 will appear for Paper-I in the first sitting while 43,318 candidates will appear for Paper-II in the second sitting,” BSE president Dr Dakshya Prasad Nanda told the media.
Candidates appearing for OTET 2014, can download the admit card after entering their name, registration number and other details from the BSE website www.bseodisha.nic.in and take a printout of the admit card.
Candidates must bring with them their admit card compulsorily, failing which they would not be allowed into the examination hall.
Candidates should produce a valid identity proof along with their admit card. Printing mistakes in the admit card should be brought to the notice of the Controller of Examinations without delay, as late notification will not be accepted, said BSE sources.
It may be mentioned that the BSE conducts OTET twice a year to recruit eligible candidates for teacher posts.
OTET is a compulsory examination for all B.Ed qualified candidates to be considered for teacher’s jobs in schools run by the government and private managements.
The first OTET was held on August 10 this year in which about 90,000 had appeared.
The results were announced on September 1.
