SBBJ to open two more branches in Odisha

State Bank of Bikaner and Jaipur (SBBJ) is coming up with two new branches in the state in the next financial year, an official of the bank told OST on Friday.

The two proposed branches will be set up in Balasore and Bhubaneswar, where the bank already has a branch, the official said.

SBBJ, which is an associate bank of the country’s largest lender State Bank of India (SBI), already has a presence in Odisha with one branch ecah in Bhubaneswar, Cuttack and Berhampur having a gross business of Rs 256.70 crores. It has a total pan-India network of around 1089 branches with 886 branches in Rajasthan and 203 in other states.

The bank has total deposits of around Rs 70,000 crores and advances of Rs 61,000  crores as on 31 December 2013 and has recorded a net profit (NP) of Rs 730 crores for the fiscal year ending 2013, the bank official revealed.
