Brahmapur, Oct 15:
Odisha’s top Maoist leader Sabyasachi Panda was today produced before the SDJM court here in a case under the Arms Act registered against him at the Gosani Nuagaon police station.
The two witnesses, who recorded their statements today, told the court that they didn’t know anything in the matter.
Sabyasachi’s counsel Deepak Patnaik told reporters that his client had expressed his desire to work like other prisoners in the jail and wanted for a change in the Jail Manual of the British era.
Government pleader Pradip Behera however, alleged that the witnesses had preferred to remain mum out of fear of the Maoist leader.
