RSP bags CSR award

    Rourkela Steel Plant (RSP), an integrated Steel Plant under the Maharatna Company Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL), was felicitated for its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives in the ‘Think CSR’ forum jointly organised by Tefla’s, the Times of India and Think Foundation at Bhubaneswar on Friday.

    GS Prasad, CEO, Rourkela Steel Plan,t received the ‘Think CSR Leadership’ award from Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik for ‘Best Community Empowerment initiatives’. Dipankar Basu, ED (P&A), RSP, many industry leaders and eminent personalities from various fields of endeavour were present on the occasion.

    In RSP’s recently adopted Mission statement, ‘Samvardhan’, RSP has stressed on sustainable growth of the steel plant, its people, as well as every stakeholder directly or indirectly dependent on it. RSP’s CSR interventions reflect this philosophy and its ultimate objective continues to   produce quality steel and spread lasting smiles, a company release said.
