Rs 60 lakh looted from two private employees at gunpoint in Khurda

Khodha: In a broad daylight robbery, six unidentified miscreants looted over Rs 60 lakh cash from two staff of a private company at gunpoint near Gediapalli in Bolgarh police station area here today.

Sources said the miscreants, who had pre-planned the robbery, came on three Pulsar bikes and looted the cash from the two, who work at Radiant Cash Management Service Pvt Ltd.

Laxmi Narayan Khatua, one of the staff, said they were returning to office after collecting cash from Narsinghpur and Khandapada, when the looters intercepted their car near Gediapalli and decamped with the cash by brandishing pistol.

On receiving information, police rushed to the spot and began an investigation into the incident. Meanwhile, the two staff lodged a police complaint in this connection.
