Nuapada: In an unfortunate incident, a youth was electrocuted to death in Sinapali area of Odisha’s Nuapada district today after coming in contact with live electric wires which had snapped and fallen on road during road blockade by Maoists by cutting down trees at the spot.

The deceased, identified as Sahadev Sa of Chatiaguda village under Sinapali police limits, was burnt alive after accidentally coming in contact with the wires.

On the other hand, several posters, apparently put up by the Menpur-Nuapada Divisional Committee of CPI (Maoist), were found in the area demanding immediate release of some Maoists who had recently surrendered before police.
